When Zen converges onto your property, you might wonder at our choice of clothing. It could seem extreme because we will be geared up in safety boots, gloves, chainsaw retardant pants, eye protection, hi-vis shirts, face masks, helmets, and ear protection. However, dressing for the job is something we can all relate to and the safety garb donning our team is part of a fairly intensive job safety analysis – which we follow to a T.

We don’t just look the part, either. We follow the process recommended by NZ Arb and have systems in place to prevent an array of problematic events.

Branches that want to fall where they shouldn’t, spring back, or are intrusive are wedged or roped to control fall direction. Our saws all have chain breaks and are fuelled up and tested for functionality before we start.
Our chipper is checked daily to ensure it’s good to go when needed. The area surrounding our site is coned off and well signed, and our communication with the public and neighbouring property owners is exemplary.
