At the outset, you can expect a site visit so the team can see what’s required. We’ll make a written assessment based on location, environmental factors, access, neighbouring properties, power lines (The Electricity (Hazards from Trees) Regulations 2003 stipulate the voltage–dependent distances permitted between powerlines and trees), animals, working at height requirements, and, of course, the tree itself. Closer to time, we’ll even consider the weather forecast as part of our practice, and jobs may be postponed if deemed a risk in wet or windy conditions.
